CRYOTHERAPY

Cryotherapy may be used for treatment-resistant chronic back and neck pain. By locating the affected nerve, cryotherapy can be used to disrupt the conduction pathways of pain from the peripheral nerve through freezing, effectively relieving pain.

Cryotherapy is an effective pain management treatment advised for a range of chronic spinal conditions that cause pain, such as:

• Facet syndrome


• Discogenic pain without disc herniation


• Coccygodynia


• Post-thoracotomy pain


• Primary and secondary intercostal neuralgia


• Neuroma-related pain syndromes

WHAT OES CYROTHERAPY INVOLVE?

This pain management treatment is done on an outpatient basis in Dr. Kolloori's rooms. Cryotherapy offers significant pain relief lasting several months. When used in conjunction with other treatment procedures, patients can enjoy continued pain relief. This procedure may also be repeated at any time should the effect wear off over time.
